Support for Code128 FNC4 / ISO-8859-1

I happen to need to create Code128 with the characters Æ Ø Å  
I notice there is a PR from 2022 for adding FNC4 support  #162 
Is there anything I can do to to move this forward? ( knowing nothing about "barcode internals" )
