Add task request support

Supporting Windows builds, we should also improve tasks request support in general.

This is for the RWX datatypes only:

1. Date format wrong, and in wrong timezone
2. Empty strings return null, incorrectly indicating absence and in generally, whitespace in the values themselves should be preserved
