Description
Documents that DefectDojo Pro now sets an Asset's type automatically, and that the Triage Engine can set it.
asset_modelling/engagements_tests/PRO__assets.md): a new Types Set by Connectors and Rules subsection. A table lists which connectors set which type: CrowdStrike Falcon, Palo Alto Cortex XDR, Wazuh, Censys and Shodan set Host; the SCM connectors set Repository; NeuVector and Quay set Container Image; Orca Security, Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Google Cloud SCC set Cloud Account; Have I Been Pwned sets Domain. runZero, ServiceNow CMDB, CyCognito, Jit, JSM Assets, Backstage and Deepfence ThreatMapper derive it from the record's own type. The subsection explains that a connector never overwrites a type a person chose, that it keeps its own value current, that an unmapped vendor value leaves the Asset unclassified, and that the Set a Field node's Type field classifies anything else.automation/triage_engine/node_reference.md):asset_typeadded to theasset.set_fieldfield list, with how its value (a type code) is validated and that a rule-set type is not overwritten by connectors.connectors/toolreference/servicenow_cmdb.md): how the CI class maps to the Asset type.English only; the other languages are generated.
