Summary

Adds an AI Assistants category to the Analyst docs that explains how customers connect an AI assistant to the Inbox Tracker & Competitive Tracker MCP server (https://mcp.emailanalyst.com/mcp), what it can do, and how to troubleshoot a failed connection. Also changes the markdown renderer so one-click MCP install links work.

Changes

• content/analyst/ai-assistants/connect-an-ai-assistant.md (new): overview, which server to use (this one vs SparkPost MCP, plus a pointer to the Bird platform MCP docs), a Claude quick start, setup for Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and other clients (including mcp-remote), sign-in, access, and disconnecting.
• content/analyst/ai-assistants/mcp-tools-and-prompts.md (new): all 33 tools grouped by product, each marked Reads or Changes with the subscription it needs, the built-in placement-drop prompt, and eight example prompts.
• content/analyst/ai-assistants/mcp-troubleshooting.md (new): symptom, cause and fix tables for sign-in, tools and access, refreshing each client's tool list, and corporate proxies.
• content/analyst/ai-assistants/index.md (new): category frontmatter.
• components/site/analystHomePageContent.tsx: home-page card for the new category.
• content/analyst/general/api-starter-guide.md: new section linking to the connect page.
• components/markdown/index.tsx: transformLinkUri passes cursor:, vscode: and vscode-insiders: links through. Every other link still goes through react-markdown's default uriTransformer, which previously turned the install links into javascript:void(0).

Testing

• npm run build (Node 16.18): exit 0. The two warnings it prints (SWC minify, no-explicit-any in components/site/status.tsx) are the same on main.
• next start with a link check over the six affected pages: every page 200, every in-page anchor resolves, every internal and external link 200. Both install links render with their real cursor: and vscode: URLs.
• All 25 JSON, TOML and shell snippets parse. The 33 tool names match the server source (mcp/packages/edatasource-tools, analyst-ng v6.16.51).
• Against production: codex mcp add (Codex 0.162.1) and mcp-remote 0.14.3 signed in and connected. gemini mcp add (0.63.0) writes the config shown on the page.
• No em or en dashes in new or changed lines.

Notes

• Not yet tried by hand: sign-in from ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code (its login needs an interactive terminal) and inside Gemini CLI, plus clicking the Cursor and VS Code install links.
• ChatGPT plan limits are worded cautiously and link to OpenAI's help article, because that article couldn't be fetched to confirm the tiers.
• "AI Assistants" sorts first in the sidebar because categories are ordered by folder name.
