This produces the same results as localeCompare for every call in a run of cdjs, without encouraging engines to optimize silly uses of localeCompare.

This returns the same value as the previous implementation for every call in a run of cdjs, without encouraging engines to optimize silly uses of localeCompare.
This fixes issue #294.
