On an uncached README view, this tag makes the browser download the full 2,176,575-byte PNG; the width="840" attribute only changes its rendered size and does not reduce the transfer. Because this is photo-like artwork loaded at the top of the repository page, use a substantially compressed WebP/JPEG version or an optimized responsive asset to avoid adding roughly 2.2 MB to the initial README load.
