Add contextual Dash artwork showing Dash selecting a typed case from a finite set in docs/_static/mascot-banner.png and display its relative path from the README at width 840. Exclude /docs/ and root /README*.md files from package archives together.

Align the Sphinx banner reference, remove the superseded documentation image, and record the visual update in the changelog.

Validation: PNG structure, 1536 x 1024 dimensions and SHA-256 verified; git archive contains no docs or root README Markdown; README path and alt text match; git diff --check passed.
composer dev-tools was attempted and fails because the isolated checkout and global tool configuration lack required autoload files. It also reports an existing refactoring change in src/Trait/HasDescription.php.
